SHARE — A founding invitation Shared Human Advancement through Physical AI Research and Engineering Effective Altruism. Applied to Physical AI. October 2026 | Proposed founding model THE PURPOSE Direct physical intelligence toward the greatest positive human impact we can achieve. Bring leadership, research, engineering and lived experience together to identify important, neglected needs, compare practical alternatives and test human benefit. THE INVITATION Executives, board members, investors, startup founders and AI-native technology leaders can help make research possible through judgment, operating access, capabilities and resources. Researchers, practitioners, workers, users and communities help shape and examine that work. THE PROPOSED FOUNDING COUNCIL A group of approximately 8–12 people with complementary perspectives. The proposed initial commitment is two 90-minute sessions over six months and one defined contribution from each participant. Where organisational resources are involved, a nominated working contact would help sustain the contribution. The council would help choose priorities, unlock resources and review progress toward human benefit. Programme teams would conduct the work, with methods and findings subject to independent review. Council appointments and organisational commitments will be identified as they are confirmed. THE FIRST PROPOSED PROGRAMME The Real Work Evidence Project asks: what does the complete system accomplish, what does it still require from people, and what new value becomes possible? Possible contributions include: - A working environment and an important human need to investigate. - A relevant Physical AI system and engineering support. - Independent research time, equipment, compute or funding. - Lived experience to help define and assess meaningful outcomes. The intended public contribution is a shared method and openly reported findings that help others judge where Physical AI creates worthwhile human benefit, including where it falls short. PROPOSED FOUNDING COMMITMENTS - Compare the best practical alternatives, including simpler solutions. - Consider what the same resources could accomplish elsewhere. - Include affected people in defining and assessing outcomes. - Disclose interests and support; preserve independent conclusions. - Share methods, limitations and findings that challenge the initial proposition. - Recognise contributions without implying product, company or investment endorsement. PREPARE A FOUNDING CONVERSATION 1. What human need do you want to help address? 2. What could your involvement make possible? 3. What can you contribute, in what capacity and over what timeframe? 4. Who would carry the work forward? 5. What evidence should lead us to continue, change direction or stop? This brief describes a proposed founding model.
